What is The Personal Finance Hub?

Welcome to The Personal Finance Hub

The Personal Finance Hub is a UK-focused platform designed to provide clear, actionable insights to help professionals take control of their finances.
The site has only just launched — so bear with us as we build out content. In the meantime, grab your popcorn, subscribe for monthly updates, and we promise to keep your inbox quieter than your WhatsApp on Christmas Day. 🎄

Building Your Financial Toolkit

We’re here to help you:

  • Understand your current financial position
  • Navigate key areas like bank accounts, mortgages, credit cards, savings, ISAs, and pensions
  • Build a toolkit of recommended accounts, apps, and providers

But let’s be clear — we’re not here to tell you how to live your life. If you want to buy £100s of clothes weekly on a credit card, eat out three nights a week while in your overdraft, or lease a new BMW every few years without saving… that’s entirely your choice.

If you’re reading this, though, you probably want to manage your money better or hit specific financial goals. Reflecting on where your money goes — and where you want to be in 12 months — is a great place to start.

Most financial decisions are a trade-off. Spend £100 today, and it’s £100 you’re not saving. But it’s not always that simple. We’ll help you understand those grey areas and provide context to help you make more informed choices. Start with our Financial Health Check and What, Where, and How articles.

Cut Through the Noise

Too much choice can be a problem in itself. We’re not here to become the Wikipedia of personal finance. Instead, we’ll give you honest recommendations — what to do, why it matters, and how to make it happen. No fluff, no jargon.

Why I Started This

I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand money. Friends, family, and colleagues would regularly come to me for advice. Seeing how valuable those conversations were inspired me to launch The Personal Finance Hub, to share insights with a wider audience.

Financial education is woefully lacking in the UK, and the complexity of financial products doesn’t help. But money is part of everyday life — and getting a grip on it can reduce stress and unlock freedom.

This site is built on my knowledge and experience. I understand the details, and I enjoy making them simple. If you’re ready to take control of your finances, I hope you’ll subscribe and stick with us as we grow.
